Some people are prepared to make great sacrifices in order to excel in their field. What great sacrifices are you prepared to make in order to excel in your field? 120-150 words. Use specific details to support your answer.
To answer this question you should first ask yourself two questions. What is success for you? And, why success is important for you? Then, you will be able to think what you can do about to afford your success.
If success means money, luxury, cars and others things you can buy, probably, it means you are in the wrong way to obtain success. Otherwise, you can continue to answer the second question. For instance, success is important to me because it means I completed my goals and all the sacrifices I made were worth, and how much hard it is, bigger is the achievement.
In addition to, I can figure out many types of sacrifices or things I have to do to earn my objectives, as a exchange program. As a exchange student, you will learn another language and other culture that certainly will help you when you start to find a job. Languages, experiences, knowledge and communication abilities are very important in an appointment with a HR consultant. Also we can say that study in a good university or enroll in masters`, phD`s courses are others manners to sacrifice your time in order to earn success in your job, field or personal satisfaction.
Very well written Lucas. I really enjoyed your writing and can agree with it. I see you mentioned sacraficing your time, but what else do you scarafice as an exchange student? #mrford
I think that all of this depends on how much you like that you are doing. For example, in my case it doesn´t matter if it is my job. Journalists have to be ready to go to anywhere at any time of the day, sometimes they also have to travel like special correspondent spending long periods of time away from their families, and taking risks. A good example are war correspondents; they are at risk most of the time and it is a sacrifice. Anyway when I decided to study journalism I knew everything that it involves. I have the option to live in my city and work there, but living abroad my country I can learn about other cultures and lifestyles and that is really enriching. This way is more complicated and really hard than the other one, but I feel that I should do it because I definitely believe in it. For me, the hard way means success that is to say cultural and educational wealth, and also achieving my goals.
Great job Cristina. As a journalist, you sacrafice a lot. Not just your living situation, but often times, your life in dangerous reporting assignments. #mrford
Almost all students take the entrance examination when they reach the stage that they have to prepare in Japan. They start to prepare the exam very early. This is the great sacrifice. For example, some students prepare the exam to enter the university since they are in elementary school students to go to the cram school. It deprives them of spending the time on their hobbies that they play with their friends and play video game, read a book after school. Unfortunately, sometimes they fall the exam even if they make great sacrifice then I feel the picture of “success: WHAT IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE” is close to this situation. On the other hand, I think they don’t need to pay this sacrifice because this is just elected by a teacher or parents or other people in advance. They should consider why they go to the school. Their life is theirs and consequently they should make up their mind what they are going to do in the future. In addition, the phrase that I describe as “they” can replace “we” because this story is what I have experienced and seen in my student’s life.
