#CristinaRepresa Actually I do not how someone is able to make friends on internet, but I know how I can keep a relationship with my friends or my family on internet; in fact now I am doing it because I am far from them. This last factor is possible, but don´t make new and true friends. There have been a lot of changes since we use internet for making friends, everybody is joined to some social networking site and in my opinion social networking sites are not a good place for make new friends because we miss the good habits like meet them. I am worried because everyday we become more and more individualistic people. True friendships between people consist in hang out with your friends. Of course you can find someone on internet and then meet him in person, even if you have not seen him before, I think that it is not safe. Nowadays it is really easy to create fake identities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Badoo or some as these. People have to be old enough to make good use of social networking sites and some teenagers are not aware of risks of it and their parents have to advise about it because it is a serious problem.

Also you keep the contact with your family if you are away from they or they just live in another country or city. Making a new friends by internet it could be dangerous, because some people can lie about their real life who they are, and all of that things. I also think that the real friendship consists in meet each other in person, share stories about many things and talk about some specifics topics and go out and do some activities together. I use social networking sites to share my moments with my friends and keep in touch with friends that I met and they are from other country, also you have to know how to use, because you can not accept everybody on Facebook or instagram, it supposed to be your private life, and to share with people that you know, not with strangers.
For me, it's like bittersweet because nowadays you can comunicate with people easier than ever because of the internet and that's really cool but, in the past people used to talk with people face to face, now, people don't talk so much and use more social media to tell things, now you see two people and the only thing that they do is using their cellphones, they don't even talk each other, relationships now are going in a indirect way, you don't even have to be with somebody to have a relationship, you only have to have a smartphone and you say all you want to that person, although it's good because it's easier to talk but I think that people now have to talk more by a physical way to show who you are for real.
I think social networking sites change the way to communicate with people. Before we have had more a verbal communication than a written communication. But today it's the opposite with the use of social media. Personally, I noticed that my friends are people with who I had a real contact at the beginning of our friendship. I can't make friends just by talking with them in social networking sites. I think these tools just help to keep in touch with my friends because they are really easy and practical. But I think that teenagers use these sites to make new friends today. Sometimes they talk to people who don't know in the real life and they can become "friends". The other way who changed with the use of the social networking sites is that people change their lifestyle. Indeed we can meet our friends more easily than before because we can talk to them all the time if we want. So social media can help to have a better social life. But unfortunatelly, we can have a lot of virtual friends and just a few real friends. In conclusion, I think social networking sites are good tools to communicate and to keep in touch with people but not necessary to make new friends.
I did not use social networking site to make new friends but to reconnect with people that I had a lot of time without see. I use a social networking site to communicate with my real friends and my family. For me, this kinds of options are very important when I have been abroad, I used to live in another country and the social media was the way to be part of the daily life of the important people to me, they could send to me a picture or a message in specials occasions, was easier to be near when I am actually far from them. The social social networking site has another use, especially for country like mine, Venezuela, without press freedom, the Venezuelan people do not use to make friends, but to protest and to get or transmit information.
Today, the social media platforms as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram take an important place in our quotidian and help us to reconsider the things who affect our life. You can now meet peoples and create solid friendships around the world. In one click you know the favorite activity, the best friends and the nightclub where someone that you never seen goes every Saturday. Internet is easy to use and young people understand that … they like spend time on their laptop or cell-phone everywhere they go. Some of them meet someone from others states or others countries with who they have the possibility to talk about their problems, love stories or crazy adventures without embarrassment or shame. Social media help teenagers to confide and reveal some of their secrets that are impossible to express in the real life. Social media is also a good way to resolve some problems between peoples who live far away from each others. In conclusion, I think that this new concept of communication helps people to keep contacts together. In other side, I remark an exaggeration in the utilization of social media and the disappearance of the real communication.
